NEW HOPE FARM
The New Hope Farm
Overview

SAFE intends to build several residential homes to provide a comprehensive, integrated, community based living environment for its autistic adult residents.  Each home will create a family environment, with qualified staff and appropriate integration into community activities.  Individualized behavioral programming will provide residents and non-residents living in the community with opportunities for social interaction and skill acquisition, targeting progress towards enabling more independent living.  A behavioral model program with proven, measurable success for learning integration will be employed.

One home is operational, consisting of 4 Resident bedrooms and 1 Respite Bedroom.  The home provides two Community rooms that can be used for classrooms / training / meetings/ etc. in a setting separate from the living area.  The environment around the home will has the feel of a relaxed country setting providing the opportunity for outdoor activities including gardening, pet/animal care, casual hiking, etc. Future scope could include the addition of 1 more home, a barn and a Memorial Garden in honor of Claire T. Shadie, Founder of S.A.F.E. and mother to Alex G. Shadie.
